The SECAR is dedicated to educating the local population, visitors and both lay and academic scholars on the unparalleled prehistoric and historic archaeological resources to be found on the island. Public lectures, school programs, archaeological tourist programs (Excavation Experiences), and the Young Archaeologists Club (YAC) provide opportunities for fulfilling this goal. A bi-monthly local radio programme and an ongoing global media presence also contribute to SECAR’s education efforts.
